Sourcing more than 2.5 million items across 52 commodity categories is just the beginning; we actively manage price points on behalf of our customers. Our team takes the job of managing our customer price points very seriously. As a result, over the last 6 years, our price points have outperformed the Producer Price Index for intermediate materials, supplies and components by nearly 40% to the benefit of all of our customers.
DSSI employs a comprehensive supplier management program that allows us to classify suppliers within one of four designations including Premier, Preferred, Primary and General.
These supplier designations are achieved through consistent performance against specific criteria within the following categories:
