DSSI provider of MRO purchasing services becomes ISO 9001:2008 Compliant

Southfield, April 5, 2010 -- DSSI LLC, announced today that its Quality Management System has been assessed by NSF-ISR and it has obtained certification to the new ISO 9001:2008 standard. This new standard modified and clarified but did not change any of the regulations found within the previous ISO 9001:2000 standard to which DSSI was formerly registered.

"DSSI has invested heavily in building and maintaining our Quality Management System," said Sheila Wolney, Quality Management Representative for DSSI's Southfield location. "We process thousands of transactions on behalf of our customers on a daily basis and therefore, interact with hundreds of suppliers. Our internal controls must meet the rigorous demands of our customers, who themselves, are most often certified."

"Everyone of our Executives, Directors and employees have received detailed training on the application of our Quality Management System. Our team did a great job of clearly articulating the specifics of our quality system to the auditor," commented Leslie Lenhart, Quality Management Representative for DSSI's Louisville location. "To the employees, it was as simple as showing the auditor how they do their job because quality management requirements are built into the systems and processes we execute every day."
